Sacred Heart is pleased to host the CD release concert for Charlie Parr’s newest record, Keep Your Hands on the Plow.
The record was recorded at Sacred Heart and features his wife Emily Parr, Al Sparhawk and Mimi Parker of Low and members of Four Mile Portage. Charlie is no stranger to Sacred Heart having recorded sessions with Duluth Does Dylan, Haley Bonar and his break through record 1922 here.
Charlie Parr is a true icon of American folk and blues music. Lauded internationally for his wry songwriting and nimble guitar and banjo playing, Charlie remains a humble and self depreciating artist who never fails to deliver a great show. Keep Your Hands on the Plow is a mix of gospel, blues and folk delivered with Charlie’s unique style and character.
Four Mile Portage opens the show and expect a lot of special guests.
